Nigerian striker, Henry Onyekuru looked to have found his goal scoring rhythm again as he was twice on the score sheet in Adana Demisrspor’s bashing of Istanbulspor on Thursday.
Onyekuru who has a bit part appearance for his new side this campaign due to fitness rewarded his manager for having faith in him with a starting berth as he was among the scorers.
The Turkish Super Lig clash played at the New Adana Stadium was Matchday 17 of the ongoing campaign.
The Super Eagles’s forward scored Adana Demirspor’s third and fifth goals in the 55th and 75th minutes respectively adding to other goals scored by Younes Belhanda, Yusuf Sari, Badou Ndiaye and Gokhan Tore.
The massive win has however moved Vicenzo Montela’s side to fourth on the log with 30 points reigniting their hope of qualification for Europe.
The former Galatasary star now has scored six goals and two assists in 15 league appearances this season.
He has expressed delight with his fine form which described as relief and reward for hard work and commitment.
Adana Demirspor is against third placed Basaksehir, a match that could give them more believe for a chance in Europe next season.
