Nigeria forgotten forward, Henry Onyekuru has vowed to make the national team squad for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Cote d’Ivoire.
Onyekuru now ply his trade for Al-Feiha in the Saudi Arabia league and he is eager to earn a place at the next AFCON in Ivory Coast as playing in the Middle East shouldn’t limit his chances.
The Super Eagles forward said he’s not giving up on the ambition of going to Cote d’Ivoire because the Saudi league is competitive.
“I was there at the last AFCON in Cameroon, and I am really pushing to be there again,” Onyekuru was quoted by Arab News.

“But I think they should be able to see that now. The players who play here make it competitive. I am not giving up, and anything can happen.”
Onyekuru made his Super Eagles debut in the 3-0 victory over Togo in a friendly game on June first 2017.
