Huddersfield Ends United’s Unbeaten Run, City Soars; Ndidi’s Brilliance Secures Leicester Win

In a stunning upset, Huddersfield Town thwarted Manchester United’s unbeaten streak in the English Premier League, emerging victorious with a 2-1 triumph at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday. Aaron Mooy and Laurent Depoitre secured Huddersfield’s third win of the campaign, marking the Terriers’ first triumph over Manchester United in an astonishing 65 years. Marcus Rashford’s late goal for United proved insufficient to alter the outcome.

Huddersfield capitalized on United’s midfield errors, with Mooy capitalizing on Juan Mata’s giveaway to net the opener. Depoitre compounded United’s woes by exploiting Victor Lindelof’s defensive lapse, rounding David De Gea for the Terriers’ second goal in the 33rd minute.

Manchester United’s attempts at a comeback were in vain, despite Rashford pulling one back. Manager Jose Mourinho’s strategic changes in the second half failed to reverse the tide, and Chris Smalling’s late effort to equalize was thwarted.

Meanwhile, at the Ethiad Stadium, Sergio Aguero marked his return with a goal, contributing to Manchester City’s impressive 3-0 victory over Burnley. Aguero’s goal, along with strikes from Nicolas Otamendi and Leroy Sane, solidified City’s five-point lead at the top of the EPL.

In other fixtures, Wilfred Ndidi’s stellar performance propelled Leicester City to a 2-1 victory against Swansea, securing caretaker manager Michael Appleton’s first win in his inaugural match in charge. Kelechi Iheanacho remained an unused substitute, while Ahmed Musa was conspicuously absent from the match-day squad for the ninth consecutive EPL game.

Elsewhere, Newcastle edged past Crystal Palace 1-0 at St James Park, and Bournemouth secured a 2-1 victory against Stoke City at the Bet365 stadium.
