I miss Nigeria Women Football League Premiership – Glory Edet after DR Congo experience

Nigeria international, Glory Edet has revealed that, she missed playing in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership.
The right back starred for Confluence Queens and Bayelsa Queens in the NWFL Premiership before sealing a move to TP Mazembe in the DR Congolese Premier League but could not inspire her side to the finals in Cote d’Ivoire.
The marauding defending said she was super excited to receive an invitation to the Super Falcons, stressing she’s still trying to adapt to life in DR Congo despite the language and cultural barriers.
“I am so excited, the invitation took me by surprise. I am happy to finally be here, it is what I have always prayed for. I now have a big task ahead of me so I have to pick up from here,” Edet was quoted by Owo Sports.
“Life in Congo is okay but I am still trying to adapt to the new home with the language and everything, it’s not easy when you go to a new place and you don’t understand what they are saying you just have to wait for one person who understands English to interpret. but not really bad though it’s okay.
“I missed playing in the Nigeria Womens League but I have to move forward in my career.”
Edet won the, 2021 Aiteo Cup, 2022 NWFL Premiership title with Bayelsa Queens. She was part of the Prosperity Girls squad that came third in the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League as she played an integral part in Morocco.
