Former Nigeria international, Etim Esin insists he would have accepted the Saudi Arabian deal put on the table if he was in the shoes of Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen.
Saudi side, Al Hilal submitted a bid of 120.3 million Pounds to Napoli for Osimhen which was refused as the former Lille player decided to stay with the Italian league champions for another season.
Al Hilal tried to tempt the Nigerian striker to the Asian side with a one million Pounds weekly wage but Osimhen rejected it.
Esim, however revealed that he would accepted the deal as such a money-spinning offer comes once in a lifetime.
“To be sincere, I would have accepted the offer from the Saudi Pro League club if I was in Osimhen’s shoes because it’s a lifetime offer that comes just once,” Esin told Complete Sports.
“One thing Osimhen must understand again is that players have limited time to enjoy their career and God forbid, if injury set in, the player’s worth might decline.
“At the end of the day, how much did Napoli pay to get Osimhen? They would have gotten double the money. Right now, he is the hottest striker in Europe after Haaland.
“Since age is on his side, I hope he stays injury-free but if you ask me, I would have joined the Saudi club.”
Following his performances, top clubs in Europe were linked with the former Lille man. Manchester United, PSG, Bayern Munich, and Arsenal were all linked with the Super Eagles star.
Al Hilal tried to lure him with big money, but nothing concrete came from the talks.

Napoli are looking to extend his contract by a year, and talks have already. started, and both parties could reach an agreement soon. Nonetheless, Osimhen looks set to remain in Naples for this season at least.
