‘I would have been a musician if not for football’ – Cyriel Dessers

Nigeria star Cyriel Dessers said he would have towed the line of America superstar musician, Bruno Mars if not for football.

The 28 year old striker has been scoring with some aplomb, notably in last season’s Europe Conference League.

The Cremonese forward admitted that it was his mother’s wish to become a musician and he’s still a big fan of Bruno Mars, the R#B and Pop star, stressing that he would have been a music star before football stole his heart.

“I would love to be like Bruno Mars,” Dessers told Nieuwsblad.

“My mom always hoped that I would become a singer or a dancer. Unfortunately for her, I became a professional football player.”

The Super Eagles goal poacher have recorded 2 goals in 13 appearances for Cremonese in the Serie A this season.

Cremonese is languishing in the relegation zone of the Italian Serie A and will hope Cyriel Dessers rediscover his goal scoring prowess to save them from danger.
