Ibrahim Aliyu: Nigerian striker joins Houston Dynamo from Lokomotiva Zagreb

Major League Soccer, MLS top side, Houston Dynamo have completed the signing of Nigeria attacking sensation, Ibrahim Aliyu from Croatian side, Lokomotiva Zagreb.

The 21 year old Aliyu who is popularly called ‘Bravo’ put pen to paper for a three year deal contract with options to extend it work further two years.

The former Flying Eagles striker was scouted through MLS U22 Initiative and will have a chance to occupy one of international roaster slot at Dynamo.

Confirming the deal on Tuesday, Houston Dynamo’s General Manager, Pat Onstad said “Ibrahim is a talented young player who provides another dynamic option to our attack.

“He is a Nigerian youth international capable of playing as a wide attacking midfielder or striker, and his analytic profile provided by SRC FTBL stood out when reviewing options to bolster our offense.”

The product of Footwork Academy in Kano State, Aliyu scored 17 goals and provided seven assists in 84 appearances that span through three seasons with Lokomotiva in the Croatian HNL.
