Ibrahim Sunusi: Nigeria striker provides health insurance for over 110 less-privileged

110 persons have benefited from the yearly payment of Nasarawa State Health Insurance Agency, NASHIA facilitated by Nigerian striker, Ibrahim Sunusi.
The Super Eagles’ forward facilitated the payment through his foundation, SI14 Foundation at a mini reception organized by the Foundation on Tuesday in Keffi, the Montreal Impact attacker handed the NASHIA Identity Cards to the beneficiaries.
The former Nasarawa United forward said the 110 recipients included the elderly, those with impairments, kids under five years, widows, pregnant women, and those in difficult situations who lived residing in the Keffi electoral wards just as he promised to sustain the process.
Sunusi admitted that the gesture was aimed at lessen the difficulties indigents faced in accessing healthcare services.
“I made this effort because I am aware of the difficult circumstances faced by some citizens of the nation,” Sunusi told media.
“They find it challenging to visit the hospital for their fundamental medical needs because of this. So I thought deeply about it and decided to support them by sponsoring their enrollment into the Nasarawa State Health Insurance Agency.”
Sanusi who could not make the Super Eagles’ list for the upcoming African Cup of Nations, AFCON in Ivory Coast is making up for the holiday by giving back to society.
