‘I’m more focused now’ – Ademola Lookman set tall dreams in Italian Serie A

Atalanta forward, Ademola Lookman said he’s more focused now because of the effect he can have today and tomorrow.
Super Eagles tricky forward Lookman is having a terrific debut season with Atalanta in the Serie A this season as he has registered 11 goals in 18 appearances including scoring against Italian giant, Juventus.
Lookman said he’s more focused at the moment, sometimes as he admitted how he use to get caught up in the web of the future.
“I’m so focused on now. The now is the most important for me as to how I can affect today and tomorrow,” he told The Athletic.
“I used to think about the future, you can get caught up in the future and the future will always come but the now is the most important.
“Nah, not when he’s above you, anyway” laughs Lookman.
The pacy winger believes he can catch up with Osimhen at the top of the goal scorers chart and beat him to the top prize at the end of the season.
“I will catch him,” he smiles. “Not I might, I will.”
The 25 year old rejected advances to represent Nigeria at the International level after representing England at the youth level.
He ultimately bowed to pressure and made his debut for Nigeria in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifier with Ghana at the Moshood Abiola stadium, Abuja where Nigeria played a barren draw with Ghana.
