“I’m ready to give my all” — Emmanuel Dennis Promises Blackburn Rovers fans

By Monsurah Olatunji

Nigeria international Emmanuel Dennis has vowed to give his all to Blackburn Rovers as he embarks on his journey back to the English Championship following his loan move from Premier League side Nottingham Forest.

Despite a high-profile £20m transfer from Watford to Forest in the summer of 2022, the 26-year-old struggled to make an impact, featuring in only 25 appearances and scoring just two goals.

His time at Forest also included loan stints with Istanbul Basaksehir in Turkey, where he went goalless in eight appearances, and a productive spell at Watford in the Championship last season, where he scored four goals in 18 games.

Now, Dennis is focused on helping Rovers with their promotion push, and he is determined to turn his career around at Ewood Park.

In an exclusive interview with the club’s website, Dennis shared his excitement and promise to bring joy to the Rovers faithful.

“Rovers are in a very good position, and the team plays good football, so I hope I can add something to the team for us to have a good time together,” Dennis said.

“Goals are no problem, but I also like having fun, showing tricks, nutmegs, and exciting the fans because that’s what they come to the stadium to see. They come for fun, happy moments, and victories.”

Dennis emphasized the importance of entertaining the fans who travel to see the team, adding, “People come from home to sit in the cold and watch us play, so you have to give them something.”

The winger also expressed his upbeat personality, saying, “I’m a happy guy, always happy, and it’s a good feeling when I’m scoring goals. I’m excited to go out there in front of the fans, and they’re going to have a good time with me!”

Reflecting on his love for playing in England, Dennis shared, “I like lots about playing in England. I like the banter, the atmosphere, and the fans. I’m used to playing here now, and I like everything about the people, who are so funny and respectful, but I don’t like the weather!”

Determined and eager to contribute, Dennis concluded, “I’m very, very hungry to play football, and I hope we’ll have some great moments together. I’m really happy, and I’m ready to give my all for the club because I really appreciate being brought here.”
