IMC optimistic about unearthing NPFL richness, assures Davidson Owumi

Nigeria Professional Football League Chief Executive Officer, Davidson Owumi is optimistic that the new season will begin to bring on display the huge promise and great potentials in Nigerian Football.
Owumi who is also a member of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) has revealed the target for the 2022/23 Nigeria Professional Football League season (NPFL) following the taking over the league affairs.
Since replacing the defunct League Management Company (LMC), the committee is taxed with the responsibility of organizing a profitable league that will produce worthy champions and be televisized across terrestrial channels.
“A lot is at stake and there must be the drive to unearthing the richness in the game in Nigeria,” says Owumi as league kick-off draws closer.
However, before the league kick offcomes a four-team pre-season tournament tagged Dozy Mmobousi-NPFL Super Cup. The Pre-season Invitational tourney will kick off today Tuesday and will end on Thursday with champions smiling to the bank for One Hundred Million Naira (N100,000).
Enugu Rangers and Enyimba will lock horns in day one of the NPFL & Dozy Foundation Super Cup pre-season tournament, while newly promoted Bendel Insurance take on Ibadan giant Shooting Stars at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Tuesday.
