IMC set new date for Rivers United’s NPFL clash with Enugu Rangers

The Interim Management Committee (IMC) have has set a new date for the Nigeria Premier Football League clash between Rivers United and Rangers International of Enugu.

The match which was earlier scheduled to take place on Wednesday 15th of March 2023 has been rescheduled to hold on the 22nd of March 2023 at Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.

The Pride of Rivers had appealed to the IMC for postponement of the match due to their continental engagement with Congolese side, Diables Noirs at the Godswill Akpabio stadium, Uyo.

Stanley Eguma tutored side will be looking to extend their point accumulation in the CAF Confederations Cup as they top group B with nine points from four matches, they are closely followed by Asec Mimosa who are on seven points from four matches.

With a game in hand, second place Rivers United have 15 points in eight matches in the NPFL group B.
