Nigeria forward Kelechi Iheanacho is delighted with his impressive record in the Emirates FA Cup.
The former Manchester City player scored the winning goal as Leicester City FC pipped Wallsall 1-0 in the Round of 32 on Saturday.
A foul inside the box on Patson Daka resulted in a penalty which hit the bar and Iheanacho’s goal which he brilliantly converted with his left foot from outside the box ensured that Youri Tielemans’ penalty miss wasn’t costly.
It was Iheanacho’s 17th goal in 23 appearances in the competition and he is refusing to get carried away by the feat.
“There is no difference in the way I approach FA Cup matches,” Iheanacho told the club’s official website
“Obviously, I love the competition, but there is no difference in terms of the way I approach games or how I play.
“It doesn’t affect me. Anytime I get my chance, I get in there and do my job.”
The Foxes progressed to the Round of 16 with Iheanacho extending his impressive FA Cup goal tally as Africa’s top goal scorer in the world’s oldest football Cup.
