Nigeria forward Ademola Lookman has expressed delight with Atalanta’s win over VfB Stuttgart in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
The Super Eagles star broke the scoreless first half by tapping in a precise pass from Charles De Ketelaere in the 51st minute to continue his impressive form.
Speaking to the UEFA media after the match, the 27-year-old stated that despite the hostile atmosphere, the Nerazzurri managed to secure all three points.
“We had a positive first half. We created dangerous moments in the game, so (the aim was to) just keep doing what we were doing.
“We knew the chances would come and we took them. We’re happy with the three points and we’ll keep going.
“We knew how important this game would be. Coming here is never easy – I think we all saw the atmosphere and how loud it was.
“It was great for us to experience it and play here, and wonderful for us to put on the performance that we did in this stadium.”
