Jamilu Collins reveals Super Eagles target at Cote d’Ivoire 2023 Africa Cup of Nations

Nigeria international, Jamilu Collins has revealed the team’s target heading into the 2024 Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) campaign in Ivory Coast.

The Super Eagles came out tops the group A of the AFCON qualifiers with 15 points from five matches and recording only one loss to Guinea Bissau in Abuja.

Collins had made a his return to action after a long time on the sidelines and he is optimistic Nigeria will emerge victorious at the 2024 AFCON despite not achieving their best at the last AFCON in Cameroon.

The Super Eagles left-back feeldthe team will be aiming for the trophy despite the challenges ahead.

“I strongly believe we can win the trophy in Cote d’Ivoire,” Collins told Complete Sports.

“We started well the last time in Cameroon, but unfortunately we couldn’t go far. Next year in Cote d’Ivoire, we want things to be better. We will be aiming for the trophy and I strongly believe we can win it.

“It’s not going to be an easy task but we will work hard to achieve our objective.”

The three time Africa champions will be making their 21st appearance at the AFCON at Ivory Coast in January 2024.

The tournament will run from January 11 to February 13.
