Jay Jay Okocha reveals difference between Messi and Ronaldo as GOATs

Football legend Jay Jay Okocha has offered his opinion on the GOAT debate between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi that has been going on for decades in the world of football.

Football fans can’t come to terms with who is the greatest of all time, with the rivalry between this duo has apologetically ignited unending arguments among the fanbases.

The two players have competed for both team and individual honors as iconic stars have 12 Ballon d’Ors between them, with Messi winning seven and Ronaldo five. They also both enjoyed competitive rivalry during their time together in La Liga playing for two of the biggest clubs in Spain Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Although, they have not battled against each other in the last few years as Cristiano moved out of Europe to plight his trade in Saudi Arabia while Messi left Spain to join French giants, PSG.

However, the former Super Eagles captain and former Bolton Wanderers star praised Ronaldo for getting to the highest level through hard work but insisted Messi is the better player because of his immense talents.

“I respect Cristiano Ronaldo a lot but I define it this way; Messi is an example of what you can achieve with raw talent. Cristiano Ronaldo is an example of what you can achieve with hard work,” he told Pulse Sports.
