Jennifer Echegini bags assist as PSG pip Strasbourg in French top-flight

Nigeria’s Jennifer Echegini provided an assist as her French Premiere Ligue women’s side, PSG edged Strasbourg 2-1 in a league encounter on Saturday.
Echegini set up Romee Leuchter for the first goal of the encounter in the 45th minute at the State de la Meinan, Strasbourg.
An own goal from Laurine Hannequin doubled the lead for the travelers in the 63rd minute.
Liana Lina Joseph reduced the deficit for Strasbourg in the additional minutes of the second half from Emily Evels’s assist.
Echegini was replaced by Griedge Mbock in the 69th minute.
She has scored three goals with two assists after eight league games for the former French champions.
PSG occupies the third position on the French women’s top-flight log with 32 points after 14 games, a point behind Paris FC and eight points short of leaders and holders Lyon.
They will face Le Mans in the quarter-final of the Coupe de France on February 7, 2025.
