Super Eagles goalkeeper, John Noble has been named captain of Enyimba FC of Aba, the club announced on Friday.
Noble replaces Austin Oladapo as captain after the midfielder left the club and will be the team’s captain ahead of the 2022-2023 season.
While Noble leads, Philip Ozor will be the second captain while Emeka Obioma is the third captain of the Aba side.
Noble joined Enyimba in August 2020 on a three-year deal from ASC Kara of Togo where he won the Togolese league and played in the 2018/2019 CAF Confederation Cup and caught the eye of his current club.
He previously played for Toro Sports Academy, Kilsi United FC, Gokana United FC, Cynosure FC and Kotoko FC.
John Noble brought himself to limelight when in the 2020/2021 CAF Confederation Cup preliminary stages where he saved and converted a penalty as Enyimba beat Rivers United in Port Harcourt to qualify for the group stages of the competition.
That impressive outing earned him an invitation to the senior national team by former coach, Gernot Rohr and was part of the team to the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon in January 2022.
