John Obi Mikel visits Real Madrid to unveil Kylian Mbappe

Former international Mikel Obi paid a courtesy visit to Real Madrid’s training facility in Valdebebas.

The 33-year-old was a special guest as the Spanish giants unveiled their new signing, Kylian Mbappe, in front of 80,000 fans.

The Nigerian star is maintaining his connection with the sport as he transitions towards being a sports media personality and icon.

He currently hosts his hit podcast ‘ObiOne,’ where he has interviewed some of the biggest stars in the game and reported exclusive content.

Mikel hinted that he had grander intentions for his visit, but he is currently keeping his cards close to his chest.

The Super Eagles legend updated his followers on social media with pictures from the Real Madrid training ground as he exchanged pleasantries with some of the players participating in preseason training.

He met with his former boss, Carlo Ancelotti, and caught up with his old teammate Thibault Courtois, amongst others.

He also congratulated Luka Modric, who was offered a contract extension until the end of next season.

“Congratulations Luka on extending your contract with Real Madrid,” he posted on his Instagram story.
