Portuguese coach José Mourinho has praised Nigerian forward David Okereke for achieving a remarkable personal milestone—becoming the first player to score against all the clubs Mourinho has managed.
Okereke netted the only goal for Gaziantep in their 3-1 defeat to Fenerbahçe in a Super Lig match at the Ulker Stadium Şükrü Saracoğlu on Monday.
The strike marked a historic achievement for Okereke, as he has now scored against Mourinho’s teams in previous encounters with Venezia, Cremonese, and Gaziantep.
“I congratulate David Okereke. He is the first player to score against all three teams I have managed,” Mourinho said, as quoted by Trtspor.
“He scored against my teams while playing for Venezia, Cremonese, and now Gaziantep.”
Currently, Gaziantep sit in 13th place on the Turkish Super Lig table with 15 points from 13 matches. Their next fixture is against Batman Petrolspor on Thursday, December 5, in the Turkish Cup fourth round.
