Nigeria national team head coach, Jose Peseiro, has expressed what it feels like to be invited to coach great ex-players in a charity football fiesta tagged “The Beautiful Game”.
Although, he ended up on the losing side as Team Ronaldinho defeated Team Roberto Carlos 4-3 in the game that featured both current stars and retired athletes at the Exploria Stadium.
Brazilian historical figures lead their sides in a major all-star game were Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos, while Vinicius Jr. of Real Madrid and Nani, a former winger for Manchester United, are two prominent players in Orlando.
Also featured in the match was Nigerian hero Jay-Jay Okocha, who played for team Ronaldinho.
Okocha, who many still believed taught Ronaldinho dribbling, used some of his deft skills to go past the defense and lift the ball over goalkeeper Rene Higuita to start the scoring.
Despite the defeat to his side, Peseiro expressed delight at participating in the event.
Along with the pictures was a message on his official social media platforms
“It is an honor and a joy to be invited to coach Roberto Carlos’ team against Ronaldinho’s team in this edition of the Beautiful Game.
“It’s nice to see so many friends from my time at Real Madrid… I love this game!
“Memories of two wonderful days, reconnecting with friends, sharing memories, and enjoying the Beautiful Game.
“Thank you to everyone for your presence!”
