By Saheed Afolabi
Nigeria youngster Joseph Oloko Ede has completed a move to Czech Republic side FC Silon Taborsko on a three-year deal.
Ede had an appearance to remember at the Jagaban Cup in Lagos where he was spotted by FIFA agent, Dan Smejkal and recommended to Taborsko that eventually signed the striker after a good impression of the talent.
While confirming the development and recounting the journey of Ede, excited CEO of 36 Lion FC also discussed his transfer and progress, while backing him to excel in the European country.

“It’s Jojo’s Time. This transfer was bit challenging but we finally did it,” Haji Gafar Liameed wrote on social media.
“Joseph Oloko Ede, an Ogoja boy from Cross Rivers State with broad shoulders and a body frame like an American lad from Mississippi. Recommended to 36 Lion from Pawas Academy, we later transferred him to FC Bumaro in Lagos under Bright Ozebagbe where the young Lion got his attacking balance and became an 18-yard box menace.
“He scored three goals in two games last November in the Jagaban Cup, FIFA Agent Dan Smejkal immediately penciled him down FC Silon Táborsko, Czech Republic and today the Lion Jojo signed a three-year contract.
“We get nervous whenever any of our top talent is still in Nigeria at age 22 but we are reassured today that MotherLuck won’t get tired of Nigeria Football. We shall continue to holistically get our perimeter better.
“Joseph’s progression was more stressful than regular but we believed in him and most importantly he believed in himself. This is what we know how to do best. This is what we shall continue to do to get Nigeria Football back to that alpine excellence.”
36 Lion FC is a household name in Lagos as they have produced scores of talented football players who ply their trade outside the country.
