Josh Maja: Nigerian striker seals three-year contract with West Brom

English Championship side, West Bromwich Albion have confirmed the permanent signing of Nigerian striker, Josh Maja on a three year deal from French Ligue 2 side, Bordeaux.
Maja who has one cap with Super Eagles have since been unveiled by the Baggies with Number 9 jersey.
The young striker was cynosure of all eyes in the just concluded Ligue 2 season scoring 16 goals with six assists from 38 games.
Bordeaux offered him an improved contract extension but the 24 year old forward rejected the deal.
He has been identified as West Brom’s ideal striker for new season as they intend to fight for promotion to Premier League this time.
Maja will be playing in the English second tier league for the third time having experienced same with Sunderland and Stoke City in the past.
The 24-year-old will be joining Semi Ajayi as the second Nigeria International at the Hawthorns.
He could make his debut on Saturday when the Baggies kickstart their Championship campaign against Blackburn Rovers.
