Joy Jerry makes goalscoring Chinese Women’s Super League debut for Changchun

Nigerian striker, Joy Jerry made a scoring debut in the Chinese Women’s Super League as she scored one of the goals in Changchun Dazhong’s massive 3-0 away win at Beijing Beikong on Sunday.
The former Bayelsa and Edo Queens striker had scored on her official debut for Changchun FC as they recorded a 3-0 victory in the Chinese National Women’s Football Championship quarterfinal match a month ago.
The 20-year-old winger goal poacher continued from where she left off and has hit the ground running, scoring her first goal in her first league appearance for her Chinese outfit as they extended their fine form.
Gumula Uri had given Dazhong the lead in the 33rd minute before the Brazilian midfielder, Giovanna doubled the visitors’ advantage four minutes later as they head into half time with a comfortable lead.
Jerry took the game beyond the reach of Beikong with the third goal, her first in the Chinese top flight when she volleyed in a shot from a difficult angle leaving the keeper in no man’s land.
The victory has however pushed Dazhong to third on the log with 15 points from seven games.
