Joy Omewa scores in Fortuna Hjorring’s four-goal stalemate with Aarhus

Nigeria forward, Joy Omewa scored her 12th goal of the league season for Danish Women’s side, Fortuna Hjorring.

The goal was not enough to lift her side to victory as they settled for a 2-2 draw with Aarhus on Saturday.

Mariann Hogh scored the first goal of the encounter at the Ceres Park in the fifth minute.

Omewa leveled the scoreline in the 14th minute through Risako Watanabe’s assist.

Sydney Masur also scored for the visitors while Mathilde Rasmussen ensured that the host got a draw.

The 22-year-old Omewa played the duration of the Danish women’s league Championship match.

She has scored 12 goals and provided four assists in 15 league games so far for Fortuna Hjorring.

Fortuna Hjorring occupies the top position on the log with 37 points after 15 games.

They will welcome Brondby in their next league game on March 22.

This will be followed by the Danish Cup final against Copenhagen.
