As a way of motivating goalkeepers in the Nigeria Women Football League Premiership, former Nigeria goalkeeper, Judith Chime has offered cash rewards to outstanding goalkeepers in the country’s women’s top-flight league.
“Kamala” as fondly called in her hey days, pledged to give the Goalkeeper of the Season a sum of 120,000 Naira, while promising to reward the best Goalkeeper of the Week with a sum of 10,000 Naira.
Besides the 120,000 Naira pledge, she promised to provide a goalkeeping jersey to the goalkeeper of the season.
“I will be giving out cash rewards to the best goalkeepers who emerge at the end of each week in the NWFL Premiership,” Chime told Nigeriafootball.ng
“The best goalkeeper at the end of the season will smile home with 120,000 Naira. This is to encourage the keepers to give their best in the league.”
Delta Queens goalkeeper, Mgbechi Anderline won the Goalkeeper of the Season award last season after helping the team clinch the league title.
Chime prominently represented the Super Falcons at the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup where the team reached the quarter-final and Olympics a year later in Australia.
