Juliet Sunday’s brace lifts Hapoel Beersheva to Women’s State Cup semifinals

Nigeria’s Juliet Sunday scored two goals to help Hapoel Beersheva to a 6-0 thrashing of Netanya Girls in the quarter-final of the Israeli Women’s State Cup.

The former Bayelsa Queens player scored the first goal of the encounter to put her side ahead in the 22nd minute.

11 minutes later, Shanice Foster doubled the lead for the host.

Sunday’s second goal of the game put the match beyond Netanya Girls.

Shaked Oroviz scored the fourth goal of the encounter in the 82nd minute.

Asl Shekh Sleman, like Sunday, scored two goals in the 88th and additional minutes of the second half to seal a 6-0 win.

Meanwhile, Esther Onyenezide’s side, Katamon also qualified for the semi-final after a 3-0 win over Hadera after extra time.

Barakat Olaiya’s Tel Aviv bowed out of the competition as Kiryat Gat defeated the team 2-0.
