Interim Nigeria women’s national team head coach, Justin Madugu is certain of the country’s qualification to the next Women’s Africa Cup Of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The Super Falcons will take on Cape Verde to guarantee their qualification to Morocco 2024 after walking over Sao Tome and Principe in the first round of the qualifying series.
And stand-in manager Madugu insists there not reason for panick about the Super Falcons sealing qualification to the next WAFCON despite the absence of some key players.
“We are without a few regular players for various reasons but we are not here to dwell on that. The Super Falcons’ team remains the Super Falcons anytime, anyday and anywhere,” Madugu told NFF TV.
“We have players in camp who will do justice to the badge and get us the qualification ticket to the AFCON. Surely, we would have wanted a couple more days for the team to train together, but the fixture is the fixture and the window is the window.
“We just have to make do with what we have and get the best out of the arrangement. Everyone in camp will play their part for the Super Falcons to qualify for Morocco 2024.”
The Super Falcons will line up against Cape Verde on Thursday, November 30 for the first leg encounter at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
Cape Verde will host Nigeria in the reverse fixture on December 5 at the Estádio Nacional de Cabo stadium in Verde.
