Africa’s top-ranked club and two-time Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) winners, Kebbi Beach Soccer Club (BSC) has landed in Italy for the 2023 World Winners Cup.

The team left Abuja, Nigeria on Tuesday and landed at Fiumicino International Airport in Rome, Italy.

The Kebbi Fishers were warmly welcomed by a delegation led by Nigeria’s Ambassador to Italy, Amb. Mfawa Omini Abam.

The Ambassador’s presence boosted the player’s morale and lifted spirits ahead of their departure for Alghero, where they’ll be facing Danish side Copenhagen BSC later on Tuesday.
The Chairman of the Kebbi Beach Soccer Association (KBSA) and President of Africa Beach Soccer Union (ABSU), Mr. Mahmud Hadejia, praised Amb. Abam for his support whilst presenting him a gift of the latest Fishers’ jersey.
The team will open their campaign against Copenhagen BSC of Denmark on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, the top-ranked African beach soccer club will next meet ASC Napoli of Italy on Wednesday.
A clash with BS Vion will complete Kebbi BSC’s Group A fixture.
