Kebbi Fishers Retain Africa’s Top Beach Soccer Ranking in 2025

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Kebbi Beach Soccer Club, popularly known as Kebbi Fishers, has once again emerged as Africa’s top-ranked beach soccer club in the latest Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW) rankings, maintaining their continental dominance with 232 aggregate points.

This marks the sixth consecutive year (2019–2025) that the Nigerian side has held the number one spot, a testament to their consistency and performance in international tournaments organized by Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW).

The Fishers are also the most successful team in the Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL), having clinched the league title three times in the last four years — in 2021, 2023, and 2024.

Trailing the Fishers in the African rankings are St Lawrence BSC and Kampala City BSC, both from Uganda, ranked second and third respectively.

Other Ugandan clubs — Mutoola BSC, Buganda Royal BSC, Kiringente BSC, Mengo Hills BSC, and KJT BSC — round out the top 10, highlighting Uganda’s growing presence in African beach soccer.
