Kelechi Chimezie: Nigerian midfielder shines in EPL six-goal thriller

One of the promising Nigerian players in the Egyptian Premier League, Kekechi Chimezie put up a brilliant show in the thrilling encounter between El Daklyeh and National Bank of Egypt on Wednesday.

The match was one of the Matchday 13 of the Egyptian top flight which produced six goals after 90 minutes of entertaining actions.

Unfortunately, the match could not produced a winner as both sides settled for three goal apiece as the second half of the match produced five goals with two more front the hosts and three for the visitors.

It was Chimezie who provided the assist that launched the day of goals when located Fahid Samir in a vantage position and the forward expertly converted with just four minutes to end the first half.

It was Chimezie’s first involvement in a goal for El Daklyeh but could not count for a win for the struggling side.

The 22 year old combative midfielder has played in all 13 league matches for El Daklyeh this season making him one of the formidable members of the team.

He has previously played for Gombe United and Heartland in the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL.

El Daklyeh are still in the red zone of the Egyptian Premier League table occupying 16 position with 10 points to show from 13 games.

They will be away to Haras El Hodood in the next Matchday next week Wednesday in Alexandria.
