Kelechi Nwakali: Nigeria midfielder sets return date from injury for SD Ponferradina

SD Ponferradina midfielder, Kelechi Nwakali may not play active football this year again after he disclosed the length of his cure er injury.
The Nigerian had sustained injury on Sunday during his side’s slim defeat to Malaga in LaLiga Segunda and the 24-year-old took to social media to provide an update on his likely duration on the sidelines.
“Road to be back, see you in 3 weeks,” Nwakali announced on Twitter accompanied by a photo showing that he has already begun his rehabilitation.
He will miss the home games against Burgos and Lugo as well as the trip to Levante.
He should be back in action for the home game against Villarreal II on January 8, 2023.
Nwakali has played 16 times for Ponferradina this season scoring one goal and assisted one.
Ponferradina are currently 18th on LaLiga II table with 17 points from 17 games, just a point above the drop zone.
