Kwara United players and officials will each receive ₦5 million and a plot of land in Ilorin, following their historic triumph in the 2024 President Federation Cup.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq announced the rewards on Monday during a reception in Ilorin to celebrate the team’s achievement—its first major title in club history.
The Harmony Boys clinched the trophy on Saturday after defeating Abakaliki FC 4–3 on penalties at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.
The match ended 0–0 in regulation time before Kwara United edged the shootout in a tense finale.
The victorious team returned to Ilorin on Monday and conducted a trophy parade through key parts of the city, greeted by cheering fans and supporters.
With the Federation Cup win, Kwara United have secured a spot in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup, representing Nigeria on the continental stage for the first time in years.
