Ladan Bosso wary of Senegal ahead of Nigeria’s U20 Africa Cup of Nations opener

The Nigeria’s U-20 men’s national football team head coach, Ladan Bosso has admitted Senegal might be the hardest nut to crack for his side in Group A at this year’s U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Nigeria are drawn with host country Egypt, Senegal and Mozambique in the first round of the continental tourney and the Flying Eagles will start off their Afcon campaign with a crunchy tie against the Senegalese.
The former Adamawa United coach has little idea about the strength of the young Terraga Lions but still believes his team will conquer any opposition.
“Senegal is going to be the most difficult team for us, why am saying this, it is because we have not seen them play and they have not seen us play,” Bosso told media.
“But If you can win your first match in any tournament, that will give you hope and that was the spirit we stuck with in Niger Republic and that was why we were able to outplay Ghana because of the spirit and the target we gave ourselves.
“The first match you will see some players will have some feelings in their body, so we know how to manage it and we know how to conquer them,” he concluded.
Seven-time champions Nigeria will hope to challenge for glory in the 12-nation tournament from 19th February – 11th March as all four semi-finalists at the championship will fly Africa’s flag at this year’s FIFA U20 World Cup.
