Leicester City Anticipates the Return of Super Eagles Trio ahead of Chelsea Clash

In the buildup to their highly anticipated Premier League clash with Chelsea, Leicester City is eagerly awaiting the return of three key players from international duty. Kelechi Iheanacho, Ahmed Musa, and Wilfred Ndidi, part of the Super Eagles’ squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon, are set to make their way back to English soil.
During the two-legged encounter against Cameroon, Iheanacho and Ndidi played pivotal roles for the Nigerian national team in both matches held in Uyo and Yaoundé. Ahmed Musa, while not starting, was introduced as a substitute in the Uyo fixture. Their collective contributions were vital in Nigeria’s quest to secure their place in the forthcoming World Cup.
Leicester City, recognizing the significance of these players in their squad, expressed their eagerness to have them back. “After Monday saw Kasper Schmeichel (Denmark), Wilfred Ndidi, and Kelechi Iheanacho (Nigeria) appear, Craig Shakespeare’s international contingent will shortly return to the UK,” the club announced on their official website, underlining the importance of their return for their upcoming fixtures.
Additionally, the club addressed the contributions of Ghanaian midfielder Daniel Amartey, who is set to represent the Black Stars against Congo Brazzaville. “At Stade de l’Unité at 3:30 pm, Daniel Amartey’s Ghana, just two points adrift of second place Egypt, will look to climb the African Group E rankings when they take on Congo,” Leicester City noted. Amartey had played the full 90 minutes in the previous encounter, which ended in a 1-1 draw, highlighting his importance in the midfield.
As the Super Eagles currently lead Group B with 10 points, they require just one more point in their next game against Zambia in Uyo to confirm their qualification for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, and their return to Leicester City is eagerly awaited as they prepare to take on Chelsea.
