Man City suffer double injury blow in Wolves win

Manchester City’s huge 5-1 win at Wolves, which moved them closer to the Premier League title, came at a cost as they lost two of their key stars.
Both Aymeric Laporte and Fernandinho limped off the win at Molineux, something that will certainly worry coach Pep Guardiola ahead of the run-in.
The Spaniard revealed there are concerns for club captain Fernandinho, who picked a muscle problem ahead of Sunday’s penultimate Premier League game at West Ham.
Laporte, on the other hand, came off after taking a knock to the knee, forcing Rodri and Nathaniel Ake to finish the match as centre-back pairing.
“Apparently it doesn’t look good with Fernandinho,” Guardiola said after the match.
“It’ll be difficult for Sunday. Aymeric had a tough knock and we’ll see for West Ham,” he added.
Kevin de Bruyne scored four goals on the night, taking his tally to 15 for the season, on a night they extended their lead at the top of the table to three points with two games to go.
The win moved City to the brink of yet another crown, as they now need four points from the remaining six to be crowned champions for the second successive time.
