Man-of-the-Match winner Jude Sunday delighted with Nigeria’s U20 Afcon bronze

Jude Sunday is delighted with Flying Eagles 4-0 win against Tunisia in the U20 AFCON third place match.
Sunday put up an impressive show against the Tunisians as he scored a brace in the game which earned him the player of the match award.
Getting his first start in the U20 AFCON, Sunday said the loss against Gambia inspired the Flying Eagles to thrash Tunisia, stressing that playing to the instructions of the coaches made him excel on the pitch of play.
“I’m happy to win the Man of the Match today because we needed to bounce back from the defeat in the last match against The Gambia,” he told CompleteSport.
“We lost the semi-final even though we played better so it was important to win today and we thank God for the victory. The coach [Ladan Bosso] told me to drop into the midfield if I am not with the ball and when I have it to play forward and try to find a teammate.”
Despite a semi-final loss to Gambia, the Flying Eagles won the consolation prize as they came third in the U20 AFCON and This is the fourth time the country will finish third following the latest feat in Egypt.
