Mbwas Magnut pens emotional farewell to Rangers ahead of Plateau United switch

Coach Mbwas Magnut has been reflecting his times at Rangers Int’l as he prepared to take the reins of Plateau United for the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League, (NPFL) season.

Magnut served as Head Coach of Rangers for two seasons under Abdu Maikaba as technical adviser and the former heartland midfielder was announced as the new head coach of the Tin City club on Sunday bringing an end to his moments with the Flying Antelopes.

In his farewell messages to Rangers on Tuesday, Magnut said the Enugu based club would remain dear to him due to memorable times he had just as he wished the club well in the future.

“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the government and people of Enugu state, management, and other coaches for their support,” said the former Wikki Tourists coach.

“It has been four solid years of great experience and will live with me throughout my career. Our shared laughter, hard work, and dedication have made each day in training and competitive matches an incredible adventure.

“I will forever cherish the memories we have created together and the bonds we have formed. Thank you for your unwavering support and for always pushing me to be the best of what I love doing.”

Magnut, who joined Maikaba to tinker Rangers to finished runners up in the 2023 Federation Cup,  said: “Rangers will always be in my heart for the care, love, and support I received since I joined the team and I can say categorically that I felt at home and will cherish this all my life.

“I’m pleased to bid farewell at this stage of my career and I’m also very excited to leave at this stage and would have loved to do more for the club but at this moment, I have to answer the clarion call to serve my people. I wish Rangers the very best in their future endeavors.”
