Super Eagles midfielder Mikel Agu demonstrated his goal-scoring prowess once again, finding the net for Bursaspor in a commanding 4-0 triumph over 10-man Antalyaspor in the Turkish Super League on Sunday. The victory showcased Bursaspor’s dominance, with Agu’s notable contribution adding to the team’s success.
Agu, who has been in remarkable form, opened the scoring in the 37th minute, propelling Bursaspor to a 1-0 lead. The match took a turn in Bursaspor’s favor just before halftime when Antalyaspor was reduced to 10 men following Maicon’s sending off.
Seizing the advantage, Bursaspor swiftly extended their lead, with Aziz Behich finding the back of the net a minute after Maicon’s dismissal. Jires Kembo further increased Bursaspor’s advantage, securing a 3-0 lead. The icing on the cake came in the 90th minute when Pablo Martin Battala completed the rout.
The comprehensive victory elevated Bursaspor to the seventh position on the league table with 16 points, showcasing their potential in the Turkish Super League. The result leaves them seven points adrift of league leaders Galatasaray, who had the opportunity to extend their lead pending the outcome of the match against Ogenyi Onazi’s Trabzonspor on Sunday.
