Morocco to host 2024 CAF Awards on December 16

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed Morocco as the host country of the next CAF Awards.
In a letter addressed to all national associations affiliated to CAF on October 14, by the football ruling body General Secretary, Veron Mosengo Omba, the confirmation of the hosting rights was confirmed.
The 2024 CAF Awards which celebrates exceptional football talents on the continent will take place on Monday, December 16, 2024.
This marked another breakthrough for the North African country which will also host the CAF Women’s Champions League and the next two editions of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The country will also host the next edition of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup for another consecutive hosting rights awarded by FIFA.
Victor Osimhen and Asisat Oshoala both from Nigeria won the top awards for the men and women’s player of the year in 2023.
The likes of Ademola Lookman and Victor Boniface are expected to be in contention for the award this time around.
Categories including young player, coach of the year, club of the year, national team of the year, club player of the year, goalkeeper of the year amongst others will be awarded in men and women’s cadre.
