Moses Simon Wins Nantes’ Player of the Month Award for August

Nigerian winger Moses Simon has been named Nantes’ Player of the Month for August, following an impressive start to the Ligue 1 season.
Simon’s standout performances included scoring twice in three league appearances, contributing significantly to Nantes’ best start to a season since 2019.
The 28-year-old forward received 43% of the votes to secure the award, surpassing fellow nominees Alban Lafont, Matthis Abline, and Nathan Zézé. Simon’s contributions have been pivotal in helping the Canaries make a strong impression early in the campaign.
Currently on international duty with the Super Eagles, Simon will be presented with the award plaque before Nantes’ next Ligue 1 match against Reims, following the international break.
His recognition reflects his continued impact and form both domestically and on the international stage.
