Motunrayo Ezekiel: Rivers Angels star set goal target after sinking Edo Queens

Rivers Angels heroine Motunrayo Ezekiel is aiming to notch up 20 goals in this ongoing in the Nigeria Women’s Football League Premiership campaign.
Ezekiel whose two goals, one in each half, put the Jewel of Rivers in a convincing start to new campaign following a 3-1 win over Edo Queens on Wednesday.
Her goals was capped a late one from Chiamaka Okwuchukwu rendering Suliat Abideen’s goal for Edo Queens a mere consolation and the former Naija Ratels star admits the visitors gave Rivers Angels a tough game but they grinded out the victory due to their resilience and determination.
“I really feel happy, it was a vital result that we needed after the match that we drew, I’m happy we won,” Ezekiel told nigeriafootball.ng.
“We actually knew it won’t be easy because we know how good they are, they also have us a tough time but we were more determined as a team which gave us am edge of them.”
Asked how she feel about opening her goal account with Rivers Angels and target she set the season, the former Naija Ratels forward is banking on her team mates to achieve goal target.
“I feel so happy with the goals, it will help me a lot and I really want to give more of that to help us win something this season,” she continued.
“My target is to score 20 goals this season, it may look impossible with the help of my coaches and support from my team mates, I believe I can do it.”
Rivers Angels have now recorded four points from opening two games and will be taking on Sunshine Queens next Wednesday in Akure.
