Despite several advances from big money clubs across Europe, Napoli President, De Laurentiis has insisted Osimhen is not for sale except a bank-breaking offer is placed on the table.
Victor Osimhen had an impressive season with Napoli, winning them their historic Scudetto since 1990 and breaking major Serie A African records along the line.
The 24-year-old became the first African in Serie A history to win the Golden Boot with his 26 league goals while all breaking George Weah’s Serie A all-time goal record by an African player.
With his red-hot firm, he was also voted the best striker of the season.
Only four players had more goals scored in the top five European leagues than the Nigerian striker: Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane, and Alexandre Lacazette.
All these impressive stats has made him a target of summer transfer with big clubs lining up to get his signature.
However, the club president, De Laurentiis is optimistic the Super Eagles star will still wear the Napoli jersey come next season.
Although, Napoli wants to keep Osimhen for next season except a big offer comes forth and the club will be ready to move on in finding a perfect replacement.
Laurentiis started that only a decent offer will let Napoli sell Osimhen and the club will find another top talent to replace him.
“We will see Victor Osimhen wearing our shirt next season, that’s for sure,” the Napoli boss speaking in an interview as reported by Romano Fabrizio on Twitter.
“Then if a ‘more than indecent’ proposal arrives, we will move on and find another top talent as we did with Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen.”
Osimhen has been linked to several clubs in Europe this summer, with the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea, PSG, and Manchester United all monitoring his situation.
