Napoli have rejected a fresh €70 million bid from Galatasaray for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, as club president Aurelio De Laurentiis continues to stand firm on his €75 million valuation.
Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development on Tuesday, stating that this latest offer is the fourth formal bid turned down by the Serie A club.
“Understand Napoli have now rejected four new formal proposals sent by Galatasaray today for Victor Osimhen,” Romano posted on his official X account.
“Galatasaray offered €70m today with bank documents attached for payment guarantees… Napoli president De Laurentiis wants €75m guaranteed and he has rejected.”
Despite the bid being accompanied by full payment guarantees, Napoli deemed it insufficient. De Laurentiis has maintained a clear stance that only a guaranteed €75 million will be enough to trigger Osimhen’s departure.
Osimhen, who was instrumental in Napoli’s 2022/23 Scudetto-winning campaign, continues to attract significant interest across Europe. Although injuries disrupted his 2023/24 season, his market value remains high thanks to his physicality, goal-scoring instincts, and consistent performances.
With the summer transfer window still open, it remains to be seen whether Galatasaray—or any other interested club—will return with an improved offer that meets Napoli’s demands.
