Nasarawa Amazons will beat Ibom Angels in Uyo, boasts Josephine Mathias

Josephine Mathias has backed her Nasarawa Amazons side to earn a victory against Ibom Angels in the Nigeria Women’s Football League Premiership duel in Uyo on Wednesday.

The Solid Babes crushed Ibom Angels 4-0 in the first leg meeting at the Aper Aku stadium, Makurdi a month ago but they suffered a back-to-back defeat at the hands of Edo Queens and Robo Queens.

However, the vice captain assured her side fully ready to bounce back to winning ways while apologizing for their poor show.

“As a team and individuals I know my team are ready for the game against Ibom Angels, I believe we will do everything within our powers to win the game,” she told the club’s media.

“I know we didn’t do well in our last game, but we promise our fans that we will do well in the game against Ibom Angels, let them keep supporting and encouraging us.”

Placed fourth in the table standings of group B with 13 points from nine matches, the Solid Babes will clash with Ibom Angels at the Godswill Akpabio stadium, Uyo by 4pm on Wednesday March 29th.
