By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Currently, Anas Yusuf from Nasarawa United is at the forefront, boasting an impressive tally of 15 goals in 29 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matches, positioning him as the leading scorer and a strong contender for the prestigious award.

In addition to his remarkable goal-scoring ability, he has also provided 2 assists, proving to be an invaluable player for his team.

Trailing closely is Rabiu Ali from Kano Pillars, who holds the second position with 11 goals.

Anthony Ijoma of Abia Warriors and Shola Adelani of Ikorodu City are tied for third place, each having netted 11 goals.

Ayomide Cole and Sunday Megwo, representing Ikorodu City and Abia Warriors respectively, are in a tie for fifth place with 10 goals apiece.

Kayode Oke of Bendel Insurance and Osy Martins of Lobi Stars have both scored 8 goals.

With only 5 matches remaining in the season, the race remains competitive. It is important to note that each goal in the NPFL is valued at ₦200k, making the Golden Boot a highly coveted accolade.
