Nathan Tella’s brilliant goal powers Bayer Leverkusen win over Eintracht Frankfurt

By Dayo Awoniyi

Nigerian winger Nathan Tella delivered a spectacular goal as Bayer Leverkusen triumphed 4-1 over Eintracht Frankfurt in the German Bundesliga on Saturday.

Tella’s strike, his second of the season, came in the 26th minute.

The winger controlled a pass at the top of the box, displaying excellent ball control before unleashing a low drive that beat the Frankfurt goalkeeper to give Leverkusen a commanding lead.

The convincing win strengthens Bayer Leverkusen’s hold on second place in the Bundesliga, keeping them eight points behind leaders Bayern Munich after 24 rounds of matches.

Fellow Nigerian international Victor Boniface also featured for Leverkusen in the second half, as the team continues to pursue the Bundesliga title.

With Tella in such fine form, Leverkusen’s title aspirations remain alive heading into the final stretch of the season.
