By Saheed Afolabi
Kwara United new signing, Rasaq Alaji has set his sights on inspiring his side to a better second stanza in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) campaign.
The former Crown FC playmaker made a switch to the Harmony Boys in the mid-season transfer window and will be anxious to hit the ground running for his new side.
Speaking on his arrival, the former Ikorodu United midfielder is excited about joining the Ilorin based outfit and assured the fans of leading the team to a possible Super Six qualification at the end of the regular season.
“I feel good to join Kwara United. We know what is at stake and we are going to try my best to help the team,” Alaji told NigeriaFootball.ng.
“I want to assure the fans of the club that we will try as much as possible to secure a super six ticket for the team.
“It’s also a great pleasure for me to work with Coach Kabiru Dogo and other technical crew of the club. I believe the team will experience great things with him in charge.”
Kwara United have left Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan for a new adopted home ground at the Akure Township Stadium, Akure after bringing on board Kabiru Dogo before the mid-season break.
The Harmony Boys are eighth on the NPFL abridged group A standings with nine points from nine matches and they will look to resume the second stanza on a high against El Kanemi Warriors in Akure on the 25th of March.
