NFF Announces Coaching Vacancies For Flamingos, Golden Eaglets, Flying Eagles, Olympic Eagles

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has opened applications for key coaching positions across its youth national team structure.

The vacancies cover the following teams:

Nigeria women’s national under-17 football team (Flamingos)

Nigeria national under-17 football team (Golden Eaglets)

Nigeria national under-20 football team (Flying Eagles)

Nigeria national under-23 football team (Olympic Eagles)

The federation is inviting qualified and licensed coaches to lead these teams into their next competitive cycles, as preparations begin for upcoming continental and global qualifiers.

Although the NFF has not yet published detailed minimum criteria, previous announcements suggest that applicants will typically be expected to possess:

At least a CAF B Licence or equivalent
Active coaching experience within the last five years.
Strong familiarity with the Nigerian league system.
Demonstrated leadership and team management qualities.
Proficiency in English communication.
Evidence of coaching success within the last three years.

While the roles are open to all qualified candidates, coaches with deep knowledge of Nigeria’s football ecosystem — including league structures and youth development pathways — are likely to have an advantage. Cultural fluency and domestic experience may also prove valuable in managing youth players and navigating the national setup.
