NFF President Ibrahim Gusau to grace Bendel Insurance, Edo Queens jersey unveiling

The official unveiling of jerseys for Bendel Insurance and Edo Queens of Benin for the 2022/2023 season will hold on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.

The Edo state government are setting a pace, investing and attracting sponsors to the two clubs in the huge testament to their recent domestic successes in the country. Bendel Insurance got promoted to the elite NPFL, while Edo Queens are ranked among the top teams in women’s NWFL Premiership.

“Newly promoted Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin and Edo Queens Football Club will on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, unveil their new set of jerseys for 2022-2023 football season,” the statement reads.

“The jersey unveiling ceremony is scheduled for 2pm, at the new Festival Hall, Government House, Benin City.

“All guests, players and officials of both teams as well as the supporters’ clubs are expected to be present for the unveiling which already has the crème de la crème of Nigerian football as confirmed attendants.

“Host and Clubs’ Chairman, Rt Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu will have in attendance the state’s executive governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki and the State’s House of Assembly Speaker, Rt Hon. Marcus Onobun as the special guest of honour at the ceremony.

“The president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, Chairman Sterling Bank PLC, Mr. Asuen Ighodalo and CEO Peculiar Ultimate Concerns, Engr. Adeleke are among other special guests for the day.”
